This was my first school picture ever. I was in Mrs. Mass' class with about 15 other kids. At that time, school would only go until noon so it went by quickly. We would also get a snack around 10 which is something I always looked forward to. After school would end, my mom would pick me up and drive me to [Mark's ](https://davidking.gitbook.io/the-story-of-my-life./page-1#3.-my-cousins)house to be babysat by Jefa with my other [cousins](https://davidking.gitbook.io/the-story-of-my-life./page-1#3.-my-cousins).

I was back in Mexico and back at the Rodeo. We were with family and I remember having a blast running around the outside. Between the rodeo and fair, that night was awesome. The next morning I woke up so sick barely able to move let alone walk. The next day I remember walking for the first time. I was sitting on the table at my great-grandma's house waiting to go to the doctor again. My great-grandma started dancing and then grabbed my hands and helped me stand up. She is a miracle worker with her hands and prayer.

Playing AYSO as a kid is something I'm glad I did. It taught me about sports, and I think it's why I'm competitive and the athlete I am today. I remember dreading some of the early mornings especially when it was cold, but my parents always made me go and I'm thankful for that.
