Colorado round 2. We went whitewater rafting again and up the same mountain from the year before. However, the best part of this trip was playing cornhole at our campsite. I teamed up with Nathan and after losing the first game, we didn't lose for the rest of the trip. Everyone got super competitive and it made for some of the most electric moments and smack talk. Nate and I were the champions when it was all said and done. Shout out We Dem Boys.

This was my Sophomore year a random first-semester weekend. [Paxton](https://davidking.gitbook.io/the-story-of-my-life./page-10#28.-hiking-colorado-or-circa-2018) tossed in our group chat that he was having a party at his house in Manhattan. After a little debate, I decided I was going to go visit him. I had never been to his college, and I was always busy with Track in the spring semester so I got in my car and drove, getting pulled over on the way. Funny how that wasn't going to be the last run-in with the law that night. After I got to Manhattan Paxton gave me the tour and we started drinking. I played some games of pong and tried to make some new friends. I ended up having this great conversation with a random girl there. The convo ended with us switching greek life shirts. After some dirty looks, we decided to switch back. It's a good thing too because suddenly the cops were knocking on the door. I didn't know whether to run outside or hide inside because I knew absolutely nothing about where I was at. I quickly chose the latter and ran downstairs. Meanwhile, Paxton was trying to work some magic on the cops outside. The cops asked him for his ID and accidentally gave the cop his fake. He thought he was screwed. The cop went back to his car and wrote Pax a ticket for the drinking and party not realizing fake. After they left we were talking in his room when he gets a voicemail from the police station saying they wanted to talk with him. He went on to get everything dropped and never even had to pay for a ticket. That was a rough night with the cops.
